Q: What advice would you give to a new student at Middlesex? I would love to travel, and they always do a lot of physical challenges. Q: If you auditioned for a reality TV show, which would you choose? My other option would be using the stir-fry machine. If I’m not too hungry, I love making toast with peanut butter and banana. Q: What is your go-to lunch in the dining hall? I’ve lived in Concord, MA most of my life, but I was actually born in California. Q: Can you tell us something about yourself that most people don't know? She’s so physically dominant and appears to have unparalleled work ethic and determination. In my opinion, she’s the best female athlete in the world. Q: If you could meet anyone (past or present) who would it be and why?įrom the sports world, I would like to meet Serena Williams. I don’t think I can give credit to one specific person, but I’ve heard from countless seniors to live in the moment and enjoy the time we have here at Middlesex. Q: What is the best advice that you have received from a member of the Middlesex community? I admire not just her skill and ability, but I greatly respect her work ethic and enthusiasm to improve herself and the team. We live in the same town, so we trained a lot additionally together over the summers. I would say Isabelle Fuchs '17, one of our senior captains from my sophomore year. I believe that they would also describe me as hard-working, and that’s what I try to show them at every practice and game. Q: How do you think your teammates would describe you? Q: What three adjectives would you use to describe yourself? We were down 1-0 after the first half, but we scored twice in the second half and won 2-1, beating Andover for the first time in over 10 years. It was a Tuesday game at home, so a lot of students and faculty came to watch us. I would say it was in my freshman year when we played Phillips Andover. Q: What is your most memorable moment as a Middlesex Zebra? These past summers I’ve had the opportunity to give tours of our school to visiting families it’s a great experience showing off our school and meeting people from around the world. I also volunteer at a carnival we host at Middlesex for a local preschool. Q: Besides athletics, what are some of the other activities with which you are involved at Middlesex?Įvery Thursday night we have a van that takes kids to a local food shelter where we help them clean up, and I try to go as much as I can. Ultimately we want to make it to playoffs like we have these past two years. We’ve lost some seniors, but we are incredibly excited for the challenge and to redefine who we are as a team. We want to be the best team that we can be. Q: Tell us about your goals for your MX team this season. Right after our huddle, my Middlesex teammate Maddie and I also have a special handshake that we’ve done for the past two years. Before our games, we all walk out holding hands, and I always walk with my friend Emma whom I’ve played with since we were 10. My go-to meal is a plain bagel with an apple or banana. Q: Do you have any pre-game rituals? Pre-game meal?
